Have you ever played tourist in your home city? 🤔⁣ ⁣ It wasn’t until I started travelling a few years ago that I began seeking out new day trips or adventures to go on around home! ⁣ ⁣ I love that I’ve met so many people around the world because when they come to visit, it forces me to be a bit of a tourist with them & make the most of Toronto 🇨🇦⁣ ⁣ Here are a few ways you can ‘travel’ or do more things around your home city/country on a budget:⁣ ⁣ 1. Take advantage of seasonal activities - is there a beach a bit further out that you’d like to go to? 🏖 (I’ll be going to a new one tomorrow - watch for it on my story!) If you get snow in the winter, grab some friends and find a place to go ‘taboozing’ (tobogganing & drinking for the non-Canadians 😅)⁣ 2. Look up free events & festivals - there’s a lot more than you’d think! ⁣ 3. Go to a local sports event (the nosebleeds are where it’s at if you want to save 💸)⁣ ⁣ If you’ve ever been to Toronto or are from around here, what’s your fave place?
