Here are a few options I’d recommend:
- Airbnb – I stayed at this Airbnb just outside Canmore (5-minute drive from the centre). It’s great if you’re staying with a few people as it can fit 7 guests and is right off the highway so it’s a great base for exploring nearby areas.
- Canmore Downtown Hostel – Travelling through Canada on a budget or as a solo traveller? This hostel will be your best bet! Dorm rooms start at $80 CAD/night.
- Chateau Canmore – If you want a more luxurious option, the Chateau Canmore is your best bet. They have a fitness centre, hot tub, restaurant and more for a great stay!
Activities Near Canmore
There’s no shortage of things to do in and around Canmore!
You’ll need a car to get around and make the most of your trip. You can find great deals on car rentals from Calgary or Canmore here!
Most of the activities are outdoorsy so it’s best to visit Canmore in spring, summer months or fall, however, it can also be stunning in the snow! I visited in April and there was still a lot of snow and we managed to do quite a few snowy hikes (which was new for me!).
