San Diego, often hailed as America’s Finest City, is not just a great place for its beautiful beaches and perfect weather; it’s also a fantastic spot for romantic endeavours. How epic would a whale watching date be?! You honestly can’t really beat this price for the type of experience you’d get. This is the perfect date for nature/animal lovers and for anyone you might be hoping to impress. Maybe pack a couple of sea-sickness pills in case your date gets a little nauseous!
28. Cliff Jumping
This date is perfect for anyone a little adventurous and looking for an adrenaline activity. Cliff jumping might be my fave of these date ideas in San Diego! I went with a few people I met at my hostel and it was SO much fun! There are a few different spots you can jump from but do your research ahead of time and ensure the water is deep enough before jumping in. Always jump feet first into deep water to avoid possible injury!
29. Say Hello to the Sea Lions in La Jolla
Price range: Free. Parking may have a nominal fee.
If your date isn’t a native San Diegan, you can wow them with a trip to La Jolla to spot the sea lions! As someone who’s not from San Diego, I loved spotting them and was amazed by how many there were. It’s a cheap and easy date to plan that can be paired with a coffee shop, ice cream or food afterwards!
