Road trip to Chicago

Now that it’s that time of the year when school is back in full swing, I can’t help but think about some of the fun little trips I did over the summer, one of them being a road trip to Chicago!

When I was travelling in Australia with my travel mate Reb earlier this year, we became good friends with a woman named Becky, who was hilarious and made our tour in Australia amazing. We decided after a few days of knowing each other that we would have to make the time in our busy schedules to visit each other once Reb and I were back from our exchange.

We eventually decided that the August long weekend was the perfect time to go see Becky and explore Chicago a little bit!

Some of the many things we did consisted of attending a Cubs game, walking along the river, checking out the bean, hitting up the beach and of course indulging in one or two (or eight) drinks each night.

Here are some pictures from the 5 awesome days we spent in Chicago!

I loved Chicago because it felt similar to my home city Toronto with a bit of a Melbourne feel, as they both have a river running through the city. I would definitely go back some day!

I was also lucky enough to go visit my mate Meggie in Michigan along the way, whom I had met while studying in Melbourne. Other highlights included talking and singing in the car with Reb for 8/9 hours straight each way.

Go check out Chicago if you can, I promise it won’t disappoint!

Cheers,

Amy xx
