Since I’ve gotten to Melbourne I’ve been exploring the city and various areas surrounding it and I have to say that one of my favourites if definitely St. Kilda beach.
I currently live in between the city and St. Kilda so I get to spend a few days a week on the beach. It’s certainly not the most picturesque beach I’ve ever been to, but who can complain about living a 10 minute tram ride away from any beach?! Whether its watching people skydive above me, getting drinks with friends, playing frisbee in the water or just spending some time in the sun, St. Kilda is always a great time. It’s truly the simple pleasures that have emerged from my time on exchange that have made this experience enjoyable and one I will never forget!
As I sit here in my room not doing the 40% paper that’s due on Friday, I’ve instead been looking back on my time here so far and thinking about everything I’ve already seen and done in Melbourne alone and just feel so lucky and blessed to have had a chance to come live in Australia.
So now that my little rant is complete, here are some of the multiple pics I’ve snapped on my many occasions to St. Kilda, enjoy!
I’d also like to quickly note that another cool thing about this beach are the penguins that come out on the pier after sunset. I finally stayed past 5pm with some friends today and saw a stunning sunset and spotted a few little penguins! Unfortunately I don’t have any penguin pictures because the flash of cameras scares them off.
I’ll be back with more pictures and stories in the new future!
Thanks for reading, cheers!
