Hello everyone! (Or the five of you who are actually reading this),
I finally made it to the land down under!!! The first big trip Reb & I did with our Australian tour group was the infamous Great Barrier Reef. She went scuba diving while I opted to snorkel with a woman Becky we had just met, who was from Chicago.
I got to see some pretty cool sea creatures and such, consisting of coral, sea turtles, stingrays and some harmless jellyfish. Believe it or not you could pick these jellyfish up and throw them around on the beach without a second thought, which was so weird to me.
Somewhat hard to see but that is a stingray I swear!
Here is some of the coral on the reef – please bear with the horrible go-pro quality pics.
Once again, these pictures truly do not do the Great Barrier Reef justice but I hope this gave you a little insight on what you would typically see snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef!
Look out for some more posts in the weeks to come!
